The Hitachi airHome 600 is a reverse cycle inverter hi-wall split system air conditioner designed for modern Australian homes and offices. Available in multiple capacities to suit your space, the airHome 600 is packed with intelligent automation technology and integrated self-maintenance features — making it one of the most advanced and low-maintenance air conditioning systems available in its class.
At the heart of the airHome 600 is Hitachi's Cascade Vector DC Inverter technology, which uses a microchip to control compressor speed with precision — delivering fast, powerful air conditioning at start-up then automatically adjusting to maintain your desired temperature efficiently and quietly. The system distributes conditioned air up to 24 metres across a 105° x 60° three-dimensional arc, ensuring even coverage throughout the room.
Hitachi's signature FrostWash technology keeps the air conditioning unit performing at its best over time by freezing accumulated dust and dirt on the heat exchanger, then melting it away automatically — maintaining airflow performance and keeping the air in your home fresher and cleaner. Mould Guard complements FrostWash by automatically blowing air through internal components and heating the heat exchanger after each use, preventing the build-up of mould and the unpleasant odours that come with it.
The Smart Eco function uses an intelligent image sensor to detect when nobody is in the room and automatically shifts the air conditioning system into energy-saving mode — gradually returning to normal operation when presence is detected again. This works alongside the Energy-Saving Operation mode, which automatically modifies the set temperature to reduce power consumption without sacrificing comfort.
Built-in WiFi connects the airHome 600 to the airCloud Go smartphone app, allowing full remote control of the air conditioning system from anywhere. Smart-Fence location awareness automatically turns the system off when you leave home and on as you return, so your space is always comfortable when you arrive. The app also provides weekly scheduling, timer functions, and an integrated Energy Cost Estimator to help manage running costs. The system is compatible with Amazon Echo and Google Home for voice control.
The AQtiv-Ion ioniser actively purifies the air, with laboratory testing showing 99.9% reduction in COVID-19 virus particles and 99.9% reduction in Influenza A (H3N2) under test conditions. The SafeGuard System protects the outdoor unit from extreme weather and voltage fluctuations, including a 3-minute delay circuit to prevent damage from rapid power restarts.
