Product Details

Carbon monoxide is odourless, colourless and kills without warning. The SCM4 has a very fast reaction time and measures CO in parts per million — its electrochemical sensor is fast enough for walk-around tests, helping you find CO sources like cracked heat exchangers or breached flue stacks.

The walk-around method is straightforward: zero the unit outdoors in fresh air, then enter the building and watch the display in real time. By constantly moving towards the area of higher concentration, you can pinpoint the source of the CO. The bright-blue backlit dual display shows both MAX and real-time measurements simultaneously — so you can see the peak reading and current reading at the same time without toggling between modes. Audio and visual alarms with mute alert you when CO levels reach dangerous thresholds, and the magnetic hanger keeps your hands free while monitoring. When the sensor reaches end of life — approximately two years under normal use — the RCM4 replacement sensor plugs straight in and auto-calibrates to factory standards without sending the unit away.
