The Intesis Modbus RTU AC Interface is the professional solution for integrating air conditioning systems into Modbus RTU (RS-485) building management and automation networks. Allowing fully bi-directional communication between your AC system and any Modbus RTU (EIA-485) network, this compact gateway gives BMS engineers, automation specialists, and HVAC contractors complete control and monitoring of AC units from a single network — without replacing existing equipment.
Full Bi-Directional AC Integration The gateway connects directly to an AC indoor unit, enabling not only control of main AC functions such as operating mode, fan speed, and temperature setpoint, but also monitoring of errors, alarms, and internal variables. This level of integration makes it the ideal solution for commercial buildings, hotels, schools, and any facility where centralised HVAC management is required.
No External Power Required No configuration software and no external power supply are required — installation is simply a matter of wiring the gateway to the AC unit and configuring the DIP switches accordingly. This dramatically reduces installation time and complexity on the job.
DIP-Switch Configuration — Quick & Easy Setup Configuration is achieved from both onboard DIP-switches and Modbus RTU, making for a quick and easy installation. No laptop, no software, no complicated commissioning process — set the switches, wire it up, and it's ready to go.
Compact & Versatile Mounting At just 93 x 53 x 58mm, the unit is mountable on DIN rail, wall, or even inside the indoor unit itself in compatible models. Fits neatly into existing switchboards and enclosures without taking up valuable space.
Simultaneous Remote & Modbus Control The interface allows simultaneous control of the AC unit by the existing IR or wired remote controller and by Modbus RTU— existing controls continue to work alongside the BMS integration, with no disruption to end users.
Energy Saving Window Contact Function The window contact function allows for energy savings — when a window or door is opened, the AC unit can be automatically controlled to reduce energy consumption. A simple but highly effective feature for hotels, apartments, and commercial spaces.
